Minutes:
March 3, 2011-Tabled to review recording for additional information.

Stone Ledge Subdivision: NC advised the Commission that he had received an email from Misty-Anne Marold, Endangered Species Review Biologist of Natural Heritage asking about the status of the Conservation Restriction that was to be placed on Stone Ledge Subdivision off of Housatonic Street.  Upon receipt of the email of March 2, 2011, NC contacted Rob Hoogs of Foresight Land Services.  To date there has been no response and PA has been asked to follow up with Attorney Phil Heller, the attorney who represented the developer.   Note: On March 22, 2011, email to Mr. Heller.

LMMHS: It has been noted that the detention basin at LMMHS is in need of maintenance.  PA was asked to send a letter to the School Committee asking them to tend to this matter and that if there are any questions they are to call Commissioner David Lane at 637-3346. Note: On March 22, 2011, I contacted Laura Saldarini, secretary for the Superintendent of Schools.  She suggested that I send an email stating the above and that she will forward the information to the Committee. This was done on March 22.

Walker Street reconstruction: NC advised the Commission of a letter dated March 4, 2011 from Steve Mack of Foresight Land Services which describes the proposed project that begins at the intersection of Walker Street and Crystal Street near the Lee town line.  The letter stated a request by Mass DOT and the Town of Lenox Department of Public Works that the Commission review the project and submit any comments to Steven Mack.  Foresight anticipates submitting a Notice of Intent in the summer of 2011 for this work.  Commissioners expressed their concern about ledge rock on the side of Walker Street at the stream crossing and suggested that this concern be relayed to Mr. Mack as the Commissioners feel that removing some of the ledge will prevent siltation of the cross road culvert. NC will contact Mr. Mack and make him aware of the concern.

Lenox/Valley Waste Transfer Facility:  Tom Garrity informally presented to the Commission an update of the project and stated that they are within three weeks of opening of the facility, taking longer than had expected due to weather conditions.  The Commission advised him that the Order of Conditions was issued in May of 2009 and is in effect until May 2012.

TF made a motion to adjourn at 8:35 pm.  VA seconded the motion and the Commission voted to adjourn 5-0.

Respectfully submitted,
Peggy Ammendola
